THANK YOU TO OUR FUNDERS
From July 2024 - June 2025, The BAG Society presented 22 concerts featuring some of BC's and Canada's best touring artists, including Valdy, Sheri Ulrich, Don Ross, Stephen Fearing, Colin Linden, and Grant Lawrence Stories & songs featuring Jill Barber, Joel Plaskett and Lindi Ortega. Funding from BC Live's Community Presenters Assistance program supported the presentation of The Marc Atkinson Trio, Steve Dawson, Q, Harry Manx, Raine Hamilton, and The Black Dog String Quartet. Funding from BC Live's Into The Act program supported the presentation of The Hyaenas and Beau Wheeler. Funding from Squamish Arts supported the production of two sold out tribute concerts featuring local musicians, providing free tickets to low income seniors. The Squamish Arts funding also supported four Open Studio sessions led by local veteran visual artist, Lone Tratt, and a workshop for creatives led by local writers and artivists Amber Cowie, Drea Moothu and Julie Wilkinson. In 2025, the BAG Society also supported a Cory Weeds Jazz Series which featured Mimosa, The Sharon Minemoto Quartet, and Triology, with special guest, Cory Weeds. The BAG Society also funded monthly trad sessions by local award-winning fiddler Jocelyn Pettit. 2025 Trad Sessions are scheduled for 1pm - 3pm Saturdays,
A special thank you to our 2024-25 funders. Vancouver Community Foundation, BC Live and Squamish Arts funding was critical for audience development and community building.
